3-Drive Flat Throttle Controller

3-DRIVE is a plug & play device designed for electronic throttle car models that gives you, the freedom to select the type of acceleration response you need. A wide variety of response adjustment can be yours. Modes include Sports mode for quick throttle response for faster acceleration adn Eco mode where throttle response is dampened to maximise fuel economy.

3-Drive's purpose is to remap the throttle position sensor voltage to trick the ECU into laying the boot in a lot faster than normal so you take off and accelerate a lot faster.  It has 3 driving modes hence it's name. Normal (or off) Sports for that seat of the pants adrenalin driving style and Eco mode if you want to drive for economy.

So in this example, the pedal has been pressed 30% of the way to the floor (by distance not by throttle voltage). This results in 33% of throttle affect on the fly by wire signals in normal mode, only 15% in Economy mode and 68% in Sports mode (where maximum sports and eco settings are used). So what does this mean to the driver? Well here are some test results for one particular vehicle over 400 metres from a standing start at 30% throttle setting.



Modifications don't come any easier to fit than the 3-drive throttle controller. Just look how easy it is and everything is plug and play!




Being an electronic device it needs a power source but to make this easy, it steals power from the OBDII engine diagnostics plug so you can try it out literally straight after a few minutes spent fittin. If you are already using the diagnostics plug for another monitoring device, then it can be hard wired to a 12 volt power source.

Finally, if you are towing or have a learner driver in the family, there are advanced wiring options that disable the chip when reveres gear is selected and to force normal mode to be selected when you start the engine (instead of the default mode of remembering the last setting).
