VMN was established in 2009 with a goal to become a source of quality information on Vehicle Modifications in Australia and support this by a range of high quality components to modify your vehicle via an online store. Initially, the business was little more than a hobby and a few good ideas. As we ourselves are avid Toyouta Hilux drivers, the business is heavilly centred on this vehicle becasue we know it best and have one that we push to the limits off road and are forever tinkering with. We love our Hilux ute and have written a number of articles for various 4WD drive magazines as well as participating in a 4WD Action magazine organised trip.

Growth through 2010 exceeded expectations and our customers drove us to offer new products which always seemed to take off like wildfire. Through 2010 we obtained engineering approval from Queensland Transport for our range of our Body Lift kits and as the words spread, more and more people wanted to grab one of these fantastic kits. During this time our VMN Diesel Chip also established itself as a highly regarded and much sought after modification which our clients often purchase with a Beaudesert Performance exhaust system.

As a result of the growth we experienced in 2010, we stuck our neck out and decided to appoint a developer to develop a professional web site to kick off the 2011 year with. We know that our business in this connected world is totaly dependendent on the trust our customers place in us and if that trust is lost, our business will disappear overnight. But with online fraud on the rise, it is not enough just to simply say "Trust Us". To earn that trust, we have to invest in the technology that justifies your trust in us.

Whilst it may only be a small thing, we moved our web site to a new green server farm that is easier on the environment in keeping with our desire to "Tread Lightly" when we venture offroad. We also like to give back to the community that supports us and we sponsor the New Hilux Forum at www.newhilux.net.au and participate in a number of other forums where we are happy to freely offer our opinions and advice.

We decided our new store would adhere to the Australian E-Commerce Best Practice Model, and uses those guidelines in the design and development of our eCommerce presence. We have also establshed a SSL certificate for our site through GoDaddy, to ensure that all communication between your browser and our e-commerce site and replaced our confusing Paypal checkout payments page with the highly respected and secure Australian based eWay Payments gateway using Credit Card Merchant Facilities provided by BankWest. Each of these companies had their own requirements and vetted our web site to make sure we were serious in our approach to Internet security so that they were confident that we were not going to breach our trust you have in us.

Finally, let me assure you that we are real people and we know our customers are the same.
